Research Assistant under Blair Braun @ Oberlin College
I am apart of the first committee for the Queer Student Athlete Group (QSAG) at Oberlin College as a social media manager & engagement chair. My job is to observe analytics, post content, and engage new & old students alike in a queer safe enviroment.
As a member of Oberlin Swim & Dive, I was one of two main social media managers, taking the job of mostly data analytics & reaching out to teammates for events to post/blog about on the page.
As a trans(gender) student, I've found a sense of comfort documenting my experiences & sharing it with others so that they may begin to understand a perspective that may be much harder to view as a cis(gendered)person. I began working on pieces of a webseries known as "Happy as Her" which recieved a suprising ammount of engagement (the first article recieving over 200 unique reads in the first 10 days) and learning that so many people felt so emotionally moved by the piece.
