Hiya!

I'm Nora, a psychology and computer science double major from Oberlin College with a passion for all things learning! From my four years in college, I found myself working in research for three of them (which you can learn a bit about that here!) and being obsessed with pushing my understanding of the world around me, along with presenting that information to others!

This page serves to show a bit more about what I do as a academic, writer, photographer, researcher, and more. For a more streamlined experience with the page, use the webmap, which is linked in the footer of every page.

Experience

Research Assistant (2023-Present)
Oberlin College
With my time as a researcher, I've helped other team members learn how to use programs like SPSS and Qualtrics, along with working on various studies creating IRB proposals, surveys, analysis tools, and more. (for more info, check the Research page.)

Athletic Photographer (2024-Present)
Oberlin College
I have spent the past couple years documenting both photos and videos of athletes in various sports representing Oberlin College.

Content Creation (2024-Present)
Oberlin College
In my time at Oberlin, I've found myself involved with highlighting student events and engaging possible new Oberlin students.

Pool & Rec Management (2021-2023)
Vernon Farms
For multiple summers I spent time managing chemicals and care of a community pool alongside keeping attendance for members of the pool. This accounted for bookkeeping for a community of over 400 residents regularly engaging with and enforcing community policies of the space.

Athletic Coach (2019-2021)
Enfinity Aquatic Club
Alongside being a longterm member of the team, I worked with age groups from 7 to 14 on both basic and advanced swimming, training, and technique.

Re-Store Volunteer (2017)
Habitat for Humanity
For a brief period I spent time working to take in donations, clean them up, and place them on the showroom floor.

What's this?

I always am trying to learn something new or brush the dust off some of my skills, and this is a fun way to track this. This will routinely change as I change whatever my focus is, and this is a non-exhaustive list!

Current Highlight: Lightroom

Despite all of the work I've done with athletic photography, I've yet to really get a firm grip on lightroom & photo editing, so during this spring break my goal is to truly learn how to use lightroom!
